New Developments in Banking Access

November 17, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Good credit is an asset in the modern United States economy and hinges on having access to a bank account. In many ways, a savings and checking account are prerequisites for establishing financial stability and gaining access to credit cards and loan products. Yet, about 24.6 million, or 18.6% of people in the U.S., are either unbanked or unbanked, meaning they do not complete all or most of their financial transactions through traditional banking.

During this webinar, we explore why and what options are in place to support consumers in becoming banked. Join ChexSystems, Bank On, and CBA for this discussion highlighting exciting developments designed to ensure fewer barriers to bank account access exist. A brief overview of a practitioner-facing tool, the ChexEDU report available through CBA Access, will be previewed and covered in greater depth in a follow-up session on Thursday, December 1st from 2:00-3:00 pm EST.

Please note: This session is part of the CBA Community Webinar Series but is open to all. The 12/1 session is closed to CBA Members and Allies.
Real-time captioning will be provided for this webinar. For other accommodation requests, questions about the webinar, or the registration process, please contact webinars@creditbuildersalliance.org.
