Achieving Credit Strength: Programmatic Strategies for Supporting Returning Citizens
In a normal year, supporting justice-exposed individuals can be challenging enough. Layer on the pandemic, and programming for returning citizens and those incarcerated must be altered significantly to meet the moment. Four organizations -- The First 72+, MaineStream Finance, Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute, and UCEDC -- engaged in CBA’s Achieving Credit Strength demonstration project have risen to the challenge by bringing credit building into their services. This interactive panel session focuses on how these diverse organizations, all connected by a goal of credit building program integration, are evolving their support for returning citizens.
This project and the accompanying Achieving Credit Strength: A Toolkit for Supporting Returning Citizens, released earlier this year, are supported by JPMorgan Chase & Co.
